God has not promised skies always blue,
Flower-strewn pathways all our lives through;
God has not promised sun without rain,
Joy without sorrow, peace without pain.

But God has promised strength for the day,
Rest from the labor, light for the way,
Grace for the trials, help from above,
Unfailing sympathy, Undying love...

Operation Just Cause wishes to extend a tribute to Jodi Harris.
We do this with respect and love for one of our own.

It is with love and cherished memories that I regretfully announce the passing of Jodi Harris.
She left her pain and troubles yesterday, December 17, 2001.

There just isn't any way to soften the blow.
For those of us who knew her, we will all feel the loss that her passing brings.
For those OJC members and POW/MIA supporters who never had the joy of knowing her,
you really missed something special.

Jodi was a staff member beginning years ago and she will, of course,
always hold a position at OJC and in the hearts and minds
of all of us who were lucky enough to have her in our lives.

After successfully fighting breast cancer,
she later developed a brain tumor that required intense treatment.
Her doctors held out little hope and told her she only had a few months.
That was over two years ago.

When last I saw her; spoke with her; exchanged emails with her,
she was always in high spirits.

She lived each day as a treasure.
To say she will be missed just doesn't begin to describe the hole she will leave behind.
