I have found a very interesting site that I think each women veteran should read. There are national organization like the D.A.V., V.F.W., American Legion....etc....that helps the veterans but sometimes, a woman feels very out of place in.
Well my sisters, there is now a national organization JUST for women! It's called the Women Veterans of America. Right now, most of the chapters are along the eastern seaboard, but are looking to have chapters in every state. It's a very worthwhile organization as it's women helping women.
Who better to know what you went through and what your needs are than another woman who has been there, done that?
PLEASE, I encourage EACH of you to visit their website, read about them and join, start a chapter where you live if you can. Let's make the women veterans voices be heard loud and clear that "Women are Veterans Too"!!
And to my brother veterans who have received this, PLEASE pass this along to any women veteran you know!! THANKS and God Bless!
