Operation Just Cause...                                                                                ...for as long as it takes
The ALLVETS program will begin at 10AM Saturday, May 29, 1999 at Washington Memorial Park on the corner of Constitution and 17th Streets. During the program there will be a civil war casket present in a
roped off
area that will be easy to find. This casket was made by Troop #540 Boy
Scouts
of America, Ambler, PA. The mission is to collect names of fallen
brothers
and sisters and have them placed inside the casket. The plan is to have
the
slips of paper with the names on them burned in honor of those that
have
passed and to scatter them at a place of honor, that place TBA.
I have been informed by Bud Kowalewski the NCOIC of this project that
Artie
Muller President of Rolling Thunder and their group from PA will do the
honors of escorting it to Washington and presenting it to ALLVETS
personnel
at a place and time TBA. Anyone wishing to present the name of a fallen
brother or sister into the casket may do so by giving it to the guard
of
honor standing at the entrance to the casket.
The casket will be
available
from 10am to 7pm May 29th at the Washington Memorial Park. At 7pm it
will be
moved to the site of the ALLVETS information tent closer to the wall,
it will
be available to receive names all night long with last name to be
collected
at 7pm Sunday, May 30th. Bud has also asked me to inform any person
or
organization that would like to have the casket for any event they are
planning during he year to please inform him or myself, the goal is to
collect names for a year and to have a ceremony for the spreading of
the
ashes at that time.

SUNDAY, MAY 30, 1999 HIGH NOON 12:00PM
Rolling Thunder will hold it's annual run for the wall for the
POW/MIA
issue, I beg all veterans to line this route and show the biggest
support in
it's history to these gentlemen and ladies for this worth while
project, for
those that have never seen it you will never forget it, as for me I
know as
they ride by again I will have the tears return to my eyes. If I could
ride I
would be in it.
I, my XO and Adjutant will be available all day May 29th and 30th to
meet
with and answer any questions from any individual or group they may
have for
us concerning ALLVETS INC. and it's goals. Remember part of the reason
for
this rally is to show our elected officials and those that want to be
that we
are united in our support of the benefits that are due us and that this
weekend is the beginning of the fight to regain those rights if for no
other
reason then for those that have been allowed to die waiting for those
rights
to be given.
Thank you all and I hope to meet each and everyone in Washington.
