It's that time of year when Gunny, Dennis and I are on the road. Here is the schedule:
Rolling Thunder
We will be at Rolling Thunder over the Memorial Day Weekend. The Bamboo Cage will be set up at the Lincoln Memorial on the Mall on Friday, May 25th.
On Saturday, May 26th there is a scheduled demonstration in front of the Vietnamese Embassy.
On Sunday May 27th, Rolling Thunder will "roll" into Washington from the Pentagon. We will be live on POW/MIA Freedom Radio
June 14th Freedom Ride/Vigil at Hesky Park in Merdith Hew Hampshire where a Vigil has been maintained every Thursday night for the last 18 years. Those interested in attending can go to http://www.statenh.com/POWMIANETWORK/freedom.htm to Bob Jones (no relation) for more information
June 21st-23rd The National Alliance of Families Twelfth Annual Forum is scheduled for June 21st _ 23rd, 2001. The Forum is conducted to coincide with the governments annual POW/MIA Family Briefings. The Alliance urges all family members to attend this years government briefings, for Vietnam family members. Remember the government will provide free airfare to two family members to attend the briefings. There is no charge or registration fee to attend the government briefings. It is important that family members attend these briefings.
In addition, the Alliance Meeting is open to everyone at no cost.
The Alliance meeting will be held at the Crown Plaza Hotel, 1489 Jefferson Davis Highway, Arlington Va. Room rates are $106.00 single or double, plus tax. June 21st-23rd The 32nd Annual Meeting of the National League of POW/MIA Families. The League's 32nd Annual Meeting will be held June 21-23rd at Crystal City's DoubleTree Hotel, across the Potomac River from Washington, DC. Family members and concerned supporters are urged to attend this important, first annual meeting of the Bush Administration. DOD-sponsored, commercial round-trip travel for two family members per missing man has been approved. Registration and hotel reservation forms are available by calling the League office. The deadline for assured reservations at the DoubleTree Hotel is May 25th, and May 30th is the deadline to register for the annual meeting.
