Special Requests For Thoughts and Prayers or Assistance

Gene's Dad

Gene Milner's Dad is in the hospital, diagnosed with squamous cell carcinoma, and the prognosis is not good. Gene, OJC's Adoption Team Leader, would like to ask that if anyone has any information on this type of cancer, to please let us know. His dad is now undergoing treatment.

Be sure to keep Gene and his family in your thoughts and prayers.
In addition, please send any info you have in care of:   "The Moonduster Chronicles"

Flying of the POW/MIA Flag

Sent in by James Query

About 3 days ago, I decided to fly the Pow Flag with my American flag. I thought to myself and told the management that it seemed discriminatory against either, because it would force me to fly the Pow flag in my back Patio area where there is hardly any visability at all.

Being an Vietnam Era Vetran that served with the C/2/504 82nd Airborne 1965-1967,I became severly distressed. It hurts me to the core of my soul to have to report to you, especially after all the work I've done to get people and businesses, and Local Government to fly the POW Flag.

If you would like to send a snail mail to the owners of the building where James lives to politely ask why both flags cannot be displayed in front of his place, please send them to:

Update on Betsy From Gunny

On behalf of Betsy and myself, I'd like to start by thanking everyone for their prayers and support these past two months. Betsy is recovering slowly but surely and she hopes to return to work soon. We are both grateful for the overwhelming demonstrations of kindness and affection that we received. It never ceases to amaze me how so many people from so many different places can manage to come together at the same time and do and say the little things that make such a positive difference in the lives of people they never met face to face. OJC must be the largest and most caring family in the world.

Another Message From Gunny

As many of you already know, Adoption Team member Kelly "Bug" Myers passed away recently. Bug had only been a staff member for a short time but he and I had been corresponding regularly for more than a year. He was extremely dedicated to our cause and his wit and enthusiasm will be missed by all of us.

God Speed Kelly.
