The snow may never slush upon the hillside by nine pm the moonlight must appear. In short, there's simply not a more congenial spot for happy ever-aftering than here in "Camelot". |

The theme of this month's edition of the "The Moonduster Chronicles" is in honor of the Fourth of July. For America, it's the day we celebrate our independence from the British. It marks the day America became "The Land of the Free, and the "Home of the Brave " back in 1776. However, for many people being 'Free' means more than just being self-governed and self-reliant. Since joining Operation Just Cause, it has numerous meanings for me.The members of the Armed Forces are the ones who have kept America Free. They served their country with pride, duty, and honor. Most especially I would like to thank those individuals who are still fighting, those who are missing and unaccounted for.
In addition, there will be a section dedicated to a very special man. He was a member of the Armed Forces, a POW, and a man dedicated to his country, up until the day he passed away.
That man's name is Ted Guy.
Colonel Theodore Guy was laid in his final resting place at Arlington National Cemetery, on Friday, June 18th. Several members of Operation Just Cause were there to pay their final respects to Colonel Guy. They were gracious enough to share their memories of that day with all of us. Their stories made me feel as though I had been there to say goodbye.
I found the following quote from my favorite artist. I think that Mr. Van Gogh was speaking about that special group of people who made it possible for us to eat hotdogs, watch the parades and the fireworks on the Fourth of July. I think he was referring to our Veterans.
