For those who are unaware, a few days ago the Canadian Vietnam Veterans Memorial was hit by cowardly vandals. There are pictures of the damage on the following site.

Our Northern brothers and sisters need our help to restore this sacred monument. If you can find it within your means any contributions would be greatly appreciated. I will keep you all informed as to the progress of the restoration. As you know I never send this type of message to this list (asking for contributions) but I find this of utmost importance and I know you all will too. I never had the honor of serving next to our Canadian brothers or sisters but from what others have told me, they are an honorable and wonderful group and they are deeply saddened by this act of vandalism. Think how we would feel if the same happened to The Wall.
