I would like to announce a new edition to the OJC Family to the proud parents Jonathan and Kimmie Bowles. A 6 pound 4 ounce, 21 inches long, bouncing baby girl, Katheryn Noel Bowles was born on 12/26/2001 at 6:46pm.
Mother, daughter and father are doing fine and are extremely excited over their Christmas delivery. In lieu of flowers, if you want to send cash, please contact Kimmie directly. Now they did not say that they needed cash, but with a newborn who came a few weeks early, clothes and things are needed and rather than guess at sizes, I figured that cash usually gets whatever is needed. . . Kimmie's e-mail address is BERLY100@aol.com
OJC Update
We had suspended the OJC updates for a variety of reasons, but primarily because of all the returns. An e-mail list of over 17,000, I get about 1,000 returns and an additional 200 'REMOVE' every time an update is sent out to the list. So if you want to see the OJC Update reinstated you will have to subscribe to the list. If you want to subscibe to the OJC Update list, please make sure you e-mail steve@ojc.org
The Passing of Jodi Harris
From: Dennis Johnson
Subject: The passing of a sister
It is with love and cherished memories that I regretfully announce the passing of Jodi Harris. She left her pain and troubles yesterday, December 17, 2001.
There just isn't any way to soften the blow. For those of us who knew her, we will all feel the loss that her passing brings. For those OJC members and POW/MIA supporters who never had the joy of knowing her, you really missed something special. Jodi was a staff member beginning years ago and she will, of course, always hold a position at OJC and in the hearts and minds of all of us who were lucky enough to have her in your lives.
After successfully fighting breast cancer, she later developed a brain tumor that required intense treatment. Her doctors held out little hope and told her she only had a few months. That was over two years ago. When last I saw her; spoke with her; exchanged emails with her, she was always in high spirits. She lived each day as a treasure. To say she will be missed just doesn't begin to describe the hole she will leave behind.
Greg and her children could all use some aid and comfort. This has been a long road for each and all of them. Jodi & Greg were always open with the kids but they are kids.
I know Greg wouldn't ask but please send cards and support to them at:
The Harris FamilyWe will be posting a memorial for Jodi at OJC. Please send any/all stories and memories of her to:
