What have I got to offer you But a promise every day. That I will strive to bring you home In every sort of way. I wrote to our President And our Governor I wrote to. But the letters that I just received Said "we're doing all that we can do." Excuse me Mr. President & Honorable Governor too If this was your child missing now You'd have a plan to get him home And would you want to tell us how? Would you send out a search team With instructions just from you. That your child was to be brought home Is that what you would do? Or would you just forget him And say that he's now gone. Or would you have the nerve to say It's time they all came home. Many mothers, brothers, and sisters All together feel this way. But they don't have the political pull To say what you can say.
