The year 1998 marks the thirty year anniversary of three tragic events in America's history. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and Senator Robert F. Kennedy were assassinated within two months of each other back in 1968. The nation lost two great leaders that year. Thirty years have passed and the memory of those two men is still felt deeply by all those who remember them. Therefore, this page of "The Moonduster Chronicles" is dedicated to the memory of Dr. King and Senator Kennedy.
With all of the negative news we hear about our country's leaders today, we need to look back and remember that there were great men in America's history and we can hope that one day there will be again.
It has also been thirty years since the Tet Offensive took place and many lives were lost. It was only one of many tragedies that occurred during America's involvement in the Vietnam War. My small tribute pales in comparison to the memories of Vietnam Veterans who were there at the time the Tet Offensive took place, who knew the ones who died there. So, I would like to dedicate this page to all those who lost their lives that day back in 1968, and to those who lost a friend or family member during that time.
I would like to thank Doc for the 'America's Steppingstones' graphic.
