Operation Just Cause... ...for as long as it takes

I feel alone in this crusade,
not many understand my need
to put to words the things I feel
like orders I must heed.
Reminding and remembering
is the mission I am on -
for if just one remembers them
they're never truly gone.
Why do you write these things?
they ask -
What's your connection to the War?
I get so tired of hearing this -
I've heard it all before.
Here is all I have to say -
my connection is a Human one
Your loved one could be missing,
your daughter or your son -
You wouldn't ask your questions then -
you'd join in my crusade -
if their names were on a list of missing
you'd march in my parade.
